Forum solidarietà - Service Centre for Voluntary Parma

Solidarity Forum is an association of voluntary associations, consisting of about one hundred reality of Parma and its province.

Has the sole purpose of solidarity and is free of profit. And enrolled in the Regional Registry of Volunteers and legally recognized No. 658, dated 04/04/08.

Solidarity Forum fully recognized in the Charter of the values of volunteering and operates according to the following principles:

• understand the needs of voluntary organizations and with them to define programs and projects (co-design )
• operate on the network and encourage the creation of networks between voluntary organizations and other public and private act for projects
• provide professionally qualified and usable by every volunteer organization

Solidarity Forum offers free local voluntary organizations to a set of services, redefined and enriched from year to year based on a research and a continuous dialogue with associations of Parma and its province, according to the method of co-design.

The services reflect the three areas of activity identified by the "mission" of Solidarity Forum:

• consulting, training, information, documentation in favor of any voluntary organization
• research, awareness and promotion of the culture of solidarity and of voluntary
• promotion and support of experiences of social planning

In order to support and qualify the volunteer organizations, since 1999, Solidarity Forum accompanies them in developing and implementing projects.The projects come from the reading and analysis of the social characteristics of the area and are placed between the objectives to respond to major problems identified. The projects are an expression of a shared decision by associations operating in networks that express , with a statement of commitment , the role they wish to take on the project:

• involve the largest possible number of territorial entities, with particular attention to the institutions and other third sector
• are aimed at promoting active citizenship
• are aimed at preventing
• activate specific services for people
• are innovative when compared to traditional responses
• have a detailed plan of actions planned
• connect volunteers and local authorities
• are strategically important from the point of view of social issues addressed
• face a crucial problem for a group of users critical
• enhance the territorial poorly served
